2022-07-27Add SELinux featureScott Murray3-0/+16
Add agl-selinux feature to enable SELinux support. Notes: - SELinux is in permissive mode by default for now, and using the targeted policy by default. - The linux-yocto specific bbappend in meta-selinux is masked out in favor of adding a more universal kernel configuration fragment with AGL's own scheme. - SELinux specific recipes and bbappends are added via a meta-selinux dynamic-layers addition in meta-agl-core to keep using meta-selinux optional. This will avoid issues with the Yocto autobuilder testing of meta-agl-core. - To avoid the effectively hard-coded autorelabel on first boot, a bbappend is added to the selinux-autorelabel recipe to remove the flag creation. In the off chance that a build happens on a filesystem without xattr support, the logic in the selinux-image bbclass will still touch the /.autorelabel flag and trigger relabeling. - A systemd unit and script are added with a new systemd-selinux-relabel recipe to handle relabeling of some systemd generated files that do not get handled during root filesystem construction. Some of these can be addressed by some upstream tweaks, but /etc/machine-id will always need special handling unless there is a shift to using read-only or stateless root by default. With this workaround we still avoid doing a full relabel and reboot on first boot, which helps simplify CI. It had been added to the next branch in meta-agl-devel for some testing on AWS Graviton instances, but now that the upgrade to kirkstone has landed, it seems sensible to move it to meta-agl to ease maintenance. Changes: - Update machine template to point into new meta-ti-bsp layer in the meta-ti repository, and update the dynamic layer directory name to match. - meta-ti currently does not have Weston 10.0.0 support, and testing confirms it will not build against the currently provided version of the SGX GPU driver, so disable using it for now. - Even though the GPU driver is not being used ATM, the local patch for ti-sgx-ddk-km to handle AGL toolchain naming has been updated to ease testing meta-ti updates down the road. - The Weston bbappend that had been based on meta-arago's has been removed for now. A re-evaluation of what is needed locally will need to be done when TI have their Weston 10.0.0 support settled. 2022-04-03meta-agl-bsp: Update i.MX8MQ EVK support for kirkstoneScott Murray9-24/+5
Changes: - Rename machine template and related files to use imx8mq-evk instead of imx8mqevk to match meta-freescale change. - Switch to purely using the default "mainline" BSP configuration in meta-freescale for imx8mq-evk as opposed to the tweaking of the "nxp" configuration previously used. The mainline configuration now builds a working image, and this lowers maintenance on our part. - Remove imx8mqevk-viv configuration to build with Vivante GPU driver. NXP have not yet released Weston 10 support, and at this point the etnaviv driver is stable. If a demonstration of support of Vivante is requested in the future (e.g. for other i.MX8 variants that still require it), this can be revisited. 2021-12-08meta-app-framework: add new AGL feature and fix buildArnaud Ferraris1-1/+1
This layer uses a new `agl-app-fw` feature to guard bbappends, so this commit declares it in the conf include and makes sure it's used when the feature is enabled. Moreover, the `layer.conf` files referenced a non-existent `licenses` folder, causing build issues. This commit fixes this by not adding this folder to LICENSE_PATH. This is mostly the result of running a slightly customized version of the convert-overrides.py script from poky with additional overrides added. A few minor fixups were done by hand afterwards during a review of the changes. The intent of these changes is to minimize the effort to keep the "next" branch that builds against poky master up to date and tested in preparation for the switch to the next Yocto LTS release in early 2022. In previous implementation for agl-lxc, meta-virtualization is import using agl-virt feature. It' controlled by included.dep. When that patch apply only, we can't use hybrid configuration for agl-lxc and agl-virt. This patch fix this issue. The raspberrypi3 machine template had only been retained to allow anyone interested in using one with a telematics or cluster demo image build to do so. At this point the Pi 4 has been out long enough that that seems no longer necessary, so removing the support to avoid confusion and reduce clutter seems warranted. Changes: - Move addition of package-management to IMAGE_FEATURES and associated package feed variables to a new agl-package-management feature template. The feature is not included by default in the base set. - To somewhat maintain the previous developer experience the new feature has been made a dependency of the agl-devel feature. In practice, the only images affected by this change are agl-image-minimal and agl-image-weston from meta-agl-core, the demo platform images in meta-agl have package management enabled by default. Add template and inc file for requested j7-evm machine. Notes: - The various images have been test built, including the agl-demo-platform image. No runtime testing has been done due to lack of hardware. - The proprietary SGX graphics support has not been enabled. This is due to both being unable to test, and it being unclear if it is required given the telematics usecases mentioned with respect to the hardware. - The shared TMPDIR for the non-optional multiconfig for building the bootloader has been shifted to a split one, as failures were reproducibly being seen when using the rm_work bbclass, and in general the community recommendation is to not share them. This does mean that cleaning up a build tree requires removing the tmp-k3r5 directory in addition to tmp. 2021-01-16meta-agl-bsp, templates: Add virtio-aarch64 machineVasyl Vavrychuk3-0/+19
This machine is intended to run in ARMv8 virtualized environment that provides VirtIO devices. AGL machine configuration files are based on qemuarm64 machine from meta-agl branch master commit e1da0efcd2eece82b0326798cfeaeb8dd48797fc. Yocto machine configuration files are based on qemuarm64 machine from Poky branch dunfell commit 4e931b1d05018923dc145cd97f6f965f5cb6e1a5. Yocto Linux Kernel is used as recommended in [1]. Its metadata for the created machine are based on qemuarm64-standard.scc from yocto-kernel-cache branch yocto-5.4 commit 4aeda12f7f7eb84613ae1fe6e22cd9cd9790c20b. The rationale behind creating new machine is a wish to have a machine that could run on other hypervisor/virtual machine monitor that implements VirtIO, not necessary QEMU. For now, virtio-aarch64 machine runs under QEMU and OpenSynergy COQOS Hypervisor. virtio-aarch64 machine includes following changes comparing to qemuarm64: * use virtio-gpu instead of VGA display (to be upstreamed to work in conjunction with runqemu gl, sdl, etc. options) * use virtio-bus instead of PCI bus QEMU devices * remove unneeded configurations Changes are moved here from meta-agl-devel. Both layers need meta-python and meta-networking. But adding them to BBLAYERS twice will cause a duplicate inclusion error. Conditionals do not work out at this stage yet nicely, thus we use an empty variable as indirection to only include it once. (Kudos to Paul for the idea.) Adapt bblayers.conf.sample, agl-appfw-smack and agl-netboot features. This is the necessary follow-up to https://gerrit.automotivelinux.org/gerrit/c/AGL/meta-agl/+/25844 and fixes the issue raised. The resulting meta-agl/* follows these guidelines: - only bsp adaptations in meta-agl-bsp - remove the agl-profile-* layers for simplicity -- the packagegroup-agl(-profile)-graphical and so on have been kept in meta-agl-demo - meta-agl-profile-core is now meta-agl-core - meta-agl-core does pass yocto-check-layer -- therefore use the bbappend + conditional + .inc file construct found in meta-virtualization - meta-agl/meta-security has been merged into meta-agl/meta-app-framework - meta-netboot does pass yocto-check-layer - meta-pipewire does pass yocto-check-layer Migration: All packagegroups are preserved but they're now enabled by 'agl-demo'. Add a feature template to enable AGL H3-based reference hardware support. A feature is used as opposed to a new machine in order to meet the requirements that: * the reference hardware be bootable with a h3ulcb machine image to avoid expanding the CI test matrix * the reference hardware support be optional to not hinder Renesas BSP maintenance for the h3ulcb / h3ulcb-kf base machines If the required kernel changes for the reference hardware get upstreamed and eventually become available via the Renesas BSP this can be revisited, as the reference hardware support could then likely be reduced to just building the extra devicetree file(s).
